MURIWAI BEACH

Last weekend I visited one of the most gorgeous beaches this country has to offer for the first time in the three years I’ve been here, and I quickly filled my memory card with pictures (Like, literally. My my memory card was full half way through, so I had to delete a few pictures…!) of the sunset and the many birds there. 

We arrived around 5pm in time for the sunset at 6, and we got to see the sky change color, from clear blue, to orange and pink and then dark blue. It was gorgeous. Although I spent a good 2 hours there, I still feel like I have more to see, as the beach is so long - so, I have an excuse to go again ;)

If you’re ever visiting Auckland, and want to see nature at its best then Muriwai beach is a must (along with Piha of course).
