Look at this, we actually grew our own green, beautifully vibrant & organic food! All these vegetables are from our little veggie patch at home and after some time waiting for the plants to grow and mature we actually harvested most of the vegetables this week (and of course, I took some quick photos to prove it)
We just hit March and that means it's officially autumn here in New Zealand, which I am surprisingly happy about because that means I can start wearing warm coats, pants and most important of all, my leather jacket, again but that also makes this an autumn harvest!

Overview: Okay, so here are all the vegetables we harvested this week.
Broccoli is one of my favourites and always has been since I was younger, yes I actually liked broccoli, so when we picked the different vegetables to grow this one was a no-brainer. From the very beginning as seeds to our end result you see here, it took around two months so that was quite a long time - but they tasted so amazing and fresh, and there are more on the way, so I'd say it was worth it. The carrots in the picture were not fully grown, which explains why they are so short, but we just couldn't wait to see if they were ready, and it can be hard to judge when they are in the soil. They have also been growing for around two months but need a little longer to fully grow - they were also incredibly fresh.
Lettuce is pretty quick to grow compared to the others - it took us less than a month - and it tastes great, just look at that color! The capsicums were so yummy and fresh as well (of course), and they took over a month to grow too. Lastly eggplant, which is in the picture below, also took us two months.
Other than these veggies, we also had herbs such as basil and spring onions, and they were very quick to grow.

xoxo
