Kikki K. Planner | DIY

Last week I purchased a planner online so I could pour all of my thoughts and plans on to a page instead of getting it messed up in my head (which is always happens) in the hopes of getting more organised and before I knew it, this little package showed up at my door.

Kikki K. is a brand that I happen to love because of their simple and cute designs, and of course their Scandinavian origin - Sweden is just across the bridge from Denmark and the two languages are similar so the Swedish words incorporated in Kikki K.'s designs always make me feel more at home!

Here is an overview of the things I bought:

I chose to buy a black planner instead of a coloured planner because it felt more timeless. Black will never go out of style, it matches with everything, and I will (hopefully) never get tired of it - it also has a more urban feel which I love and it can act as a blank canvas.

I created a video of me personalising my planner inspired by a series of videos from Kikki K.
Check it out below or on Youtube!

I also just started my youtube channel so check it out, leave some comments, give me some tips & tricks to mastering youtube as it's all pretty new to me!

For this video I tried to be as creative as possible - I used stickers, post-it notes, postcards, and cutouts from various magazines such as Frankie, Elle, and Cover Magazine. Basically, anything I could find with a nice print or colour, I used in some way. I found article titles with nice fonts such as the 'by the leading Scandinavian Designers' and 'Shopping' titles seen in the video to give a modern feel, I used an old calendar with a nice print background from Frankie Magazine, cut out the dates and month titles, and glued them on top of the normal titles to make it different and personal. I also found some old polaroid pictures and cut them to fit the pages in the planner - again to make it more personal and slightly nostalgic.
This DIY was so much fun to make as I really had to think outside the box, and I think that having a personalised planner will make me more committed to staying organised.
